ORA Architecture was founded by Michael Wentland, a New York State Registered Architect and Building Performance Institute Certified Building Analyst based in the Hudson Valley. With over two decades of hands-on experience, Michael combines technical expertise with a deep passion for efficiency, sustainability, and thoughtful design. Known for his creative energy, lifelong commitment to learning, and dedication to client relationships, Michael and his team bring a uniquely human-centered approach to every project; whether it's a luxury residence, a community facility, or the adaptive reuse of a historic structure.

From conceptual design to construction administration, Michael's architectural practice spans the full project lifecycle with a strong focus on high-performance building systems, energy efficiency, and renewable integration. Beyond architecture, the ORA Architecture stays active by being a “Citizen-Architect” in the Mid-Hudson Valley community by volunteering our time and expertise on important boards and committees. We provide our unique skills and specialized training to assist in holistic thinkinig, creative problem-solving, collaboration, and the ability to synthesize complex information. We are honored to give through design, to create more fulfilling living environments for all. ORA Architecture is a member of the Woodstock NY Rotary Club, a member of the Town of Hurley NY Housing Committee, and a member of the Onteora School District Facilities Committee.
